no link between road traffic noise and breast cancer mortality
Road traffic noise is not associated with breast cancer mortality (RR 0.98)
As part of this systematic review and meta-analysis covering evidence up to February 2025, the pooled random-effects estimate for breast cancer mortality with road traffic noise exposure was 0.98 (95% CI 0.86–1.10). This null result, combined with very low certainty of evidence due to high risk of bias and methodological heterogeneity, means the available data do not support a causal link between traffic noise and breast cancer death.
The pooled random-effects estimates indicated null association between road traffic noise and breast cancer incidence (RR 1.01; 95% CI 0.99-1.03) or mortality (RR 0.98; 95% CI 0.86-1.10), nor with colon cancer subtypes.

Of the two environmental levers on inpatient sleep, noise control is the better proven and the cheaper, while tunable lighting for the general ward is the one the evidence does not yet support.

Britain abolished no-fault eviction. The evidence reads it as a health intervention, and the market decides who it reaches.
