How it works
The Built Review makes working documents from research on the built environment: reports, worksheets, factorsheets and studysheets, plus a quarterly research roundup. You can preview all of them for free. The full documents are the work, and the membership covers them.
The documents
Four kinds of working document, all built from the same research, and a quarterly roundup.
- Reports. Independent analysis of the science behind the built environment, with the counter-voice named. For a deeper read of where the evidence stands.
- Worksheets. Research put to work in daily practice. Working references for professionals, structured so they feed straight into an AI tool.
- Factorsheets. One factor of the built environment, with every study weighed for and against.
- Studysheets. One finding, one number, each linked to its source. Written for people who are not scientists and ready to cite.
- New Research. A quarterly roundup of the studies worth reading.
What is free, what you pay for
You can preview every document for free. The preview shows what is there and where it comes from. The full document is the work, and that is what the membership covers.
Membership
Membership is €490 a year, everything included: every report, worksheet, factorsheet and studysheet, on the site and as files. Cancel anytime.
Newsletter
An email comes when there is something worth saying. Usually that is a new report. The newsletter is free and stays free.
The API
Later, the same research will be available through an API: direct, programmatic access for teams that pull it into their own tools or run many queries against it. It is priced separately and well above the rest. It is the last piece I build.
What you won't get
- No tracking pixels, in the emails or on the site.
- No drip campaigns or onboarding sequences.
- No upsells inside the documents.
- No hype. I publish only when there is something worth saying.
Frequently asked questions
- What do I get in the full document?
- The whole thing, on the site and as files: PDF, and Markdown and JSON. The files carry the full evidence behind the work, key data, impact factors, sources and the counter-voice, not only the prose.
- What does "built for AI" mean?
- The Markdown and JSON files are structured and carry their context. You can feed them straight into an AI tool without cleaning them up first.
- Is the full review free?
- No. The full documents need a membership. The previews and the newsletter stay free.
- How does the newsletter work?
- You sign up with your email and confirm once. You get an email when there is something worth saying, usually a new report. No tracking pixels, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
- What happens to my account data?
- I store your email and your sign-in. There is no password. You sign in with a one-time code, and you can have your account deleted at any time. See the privacy notice.
