126
scale of the systematic review on human-centred ML in architecture
Exact: 126 studies
Review covers 126 studies on HCML in architectural research (2010–2025)
The review used PRISMA methodology to identify and analyse 126 studies spanning 15 years, making it the first synthesis to address how embedding human subjectivity into ML workflows reshapes knowledge production and interpretive design practice in architecture.
We address this gap through a PRISMA-guided systematic review of 126 studies (2010–2025), introducing a novel conceptual categorization of HCML workflows, data typologies, and their underlying epistemic assumptions.
