Psychophysiological responses were assessed in 78 participants before and after entering a classical Chinese garden
Using questionnaires and physiological measurements, the study tracked how participants responded to the multisensory environment of the Humble Administrator's Garden. Measurements were taken before garden entry and at specific landscape points inside, enabling a before-after comparison of well-being outcomes.
By employing a mixed methods approach that integrates questionnaires and physiological measurements, we assessed the psychophysiological responses of 78 participants before and after entering the garden, as well as at distinct landscape points.
